About Us

Who?

BuyMyCattle has been a natural evolution from our existing network of relationships across the beef supply chain. Our network extends across 2,000+ cow calf operations, 1,250+ stocker operations and 100+ feedyards. Consistently we have been told by stocker and feedyard operators that they want to source and buy more cattle with a known and documented production history. We have the relationships and the knowledge of which buyers are looking for what type of cattle at any particular time.

What?

In business schools around the world, marketing professors teach that the best way to compete in a commodity business is to differentiate your product. Make no mistake, the North American beef in the industry is the very definition of a commodity business.
Successful marketers focus on the following principles:

Product – BuyMyCattle clients recognize that their product is not just the live animal but all of the relevant, documented information that exists about how that animals was produced

Price – BuyMyCattle customers appreciate that relevant, documented information will bring more prospective buyers to the table. More buyers = maximize price potential.

Packaging – BuyMyCattle representatives will assist you in collecting and packaging the information that goes with your cattle in the format required by buyers.

Promotion – BuyMyCattle is a new system and method of displaying and promoting your cattle to a wide audience of prospective buyers.

BuyMyCattle will provide the best producers with maximum exposure to buyers while at the same time keeping your marketing costs to an absolute minimum. That is a win – win situation.

Where?

The Internet is by far the most practical and cost effective location for BuyMyCattle. Your representatives will assist in gathering the information necessary to document the information buyers are asking for as well as help you in describing and posting your listing to a broad audience of motivated buyers.

When?

The fall marketing season is upon us where the majority of cattle trade and find their way from farms and ranches to new stockers and feedyards. BuyMyCattle representatives have been working hard with cow calf producers to let them know that there are buyers ready this fall want to purchase cattle with documented production and management histories. These same representatives are ready to help you capture the information being requested by buyers so that when you are ready to market your cattle, you now may have 100 potential buyers instead of 3 or 4. Now is the time to act.

Why?

Why has our customer base asked for something like BuyMyCattle? Simply put, as an alternative to industry norms for marketing cattle. It is all about creating an additional marketing alternative for sellers as well as an alternative supply source for buyers. Putting together interested and motivated buyers and sellers who recognize the opportunity to reduce shrinkage, reduce marketing costs, reduce transportation expense, improve animal health and performance as well as open up new markets is what we are all about.

Industry leaders as diverse as Homer Buell (cow calf and stock operator, Nebraska), David Delaney, King Ranch, Texas), James Herring (Friona Industries, Texas), Wesley Batista (JBS SWIFT) and Molly McAdams (HEB Retailers, Texas) unanimously agree that there is a better way for the beef industry and that better way is increasing the number of relationships between beef producers who truly want to put their information to good use and increase value for everyone at the table.
