communication between the different segments of the cattle industry. Better communications

If you are a cow calf producer, a stocker producer, or involved in the feedlot segment of
the beef industry, one thing is constant; we all would like to be as efficient as possible
and supply a safe and nutritious product to the consumer. One of the greatest challenges is,
with over 760,000 cow calf operators, 325,000 stocker operators, and 774 feedlots (2500 head
or more capacity) in the United States, information is very hard to track from the cow calf
to the packing plant. Knowledge is powerful and very helpful if used correctly. This is where

BuyMyCattle will have all different types of cattle to meet a wide variety of buyer needs.
This may be a set of calves from a rancher who gives only 7 way at branding to a
preconditioned set of calves that are age and source verified with RFID tags and are
eligible for export markets.
All cattle prices are higher this year with fed cattle almost 20% above last year and feeder
cattle and calves are about 15% higher. Two situations have happened for 2010; demand for US
beef has increased primarily because of the export market and beef supplies have decreased.
